Chipude isn’t the easiest of places to get to. Sitting high in the mountains, your options consist of Taxi, Car Hire or a lengthy bus ride.
The drive is approximately 45-60 mins from Port San Sebastian and a similar amount of time from the airport near Playa Santiago.
The Number 1 bus from San Sebastian will take approximately 75 minutes (ignore other websites that suggest the bus takes 25 minutes, they are wrong!)

Accommodation is restricted to the Hotel Bar Sonia (where we enjoyed an excellent 2-night stay). Or one of a (small) handful of Airbnb accommodations.
Restaurants In Chipude La Gomera
Again limited options are available. Those that are are centred around the small square in the center of Chipude. We found Hotel Navarro and Hotel Bar Sonia more than sufficient for our needs.
Services In Chipude La Gomera
There is a small supermarket adjacent to the Bar Navarro on the main square. There is also an ATM in the same area.
Also, in the square charging points for electric vehicles. For petrol, you will need to head out of town towards the Fortaleza

Visit The Fortress (La Fortaleza De Chipude).
La Fortaleza de Chipude is a geological formation located near Chipude La Gomera. It is made up of beautiful red basalt and has a unique profile that resembles a great altar. The ancient Gomerans considered it to be a sacred place, and it has been declared a Natural Monument by the Spanish government.
The fortress offers stunning views and is home to archaeological sites that date back centuries. Visitors can explore its many bastions and enjoy activities such as climbing, hiking, and simply taking in its beauty.
Take In The Views From The Mirador De Igualero
The Mirador de Igualero is a stunning viewpoint located in the center of La Gomera Island and at the boundaries of Garajonay National Park.
Situated at an altitude of 1321m above sea level, it offers breathtaking views from the summit to the sea.
